Condylomas does only occur in the genital area. Condom protects the area it covers, and is the only way to protect you and your partner against condylomas. The HPV virus that causes genital warts is widespread, but only a portion of infected individuals develops condylomas. Visible warts are not associated by cancer risk, but can be an esthetic problem. Visble condylomas may be removed by a medical doctor.
